Ahwatukee Community Garden Fall Gardening Notes from Linda

Hard to imagine it is already October!

We will have a table at the Farmer's Market on Sunday, Oct. 2, from 9:00 - 1:00, and on November 6th as well.  Come by and say hello!

Sunday Gardening Sessions starting time will be 8:00 a.m., continuing for the next several months.

If you need some community service hours, we can design some for after school. Eagle Scout Projects can be accommodated as well.

We'll be helping to plant native wildflowers at Colina Elementary later this month.  Date to be determined after Fall break...  Please let us know if you'd like to come and  help the students plant a lush habitat for their desert tortoise.

Next month we will be having our tax deductible   Fund Raiser.  We want to be prepared this year to get a matching grant.  We barely missed being one of the first 50 to reach the goal and get the $400 matching funds, last year.  We want to continue expanding the orchard, and add a shed, and herb spiral with this year's funds.  Remember, If you know of any Boy Scouts looking for an Eagle Scout project, please contact us!
