From Linda Rominger, Garden CoordinatorHappy February
I waited to send out the February Newsletter because all the above transplants are usually safe to plant after Valentine's Day, though frost was really not an issue this year. Now we can start transplanting tomatoes and peppers, etc. We're trying some lovely starts from a neighbor in Tempe. We'll compare those tomatoes to an heirloom from a big box store, and some volunteers, this season. A little late to plant most leafy greens. You'll notice bok choy starting to bolt along with the lettuce. It's also time to fertilize citrus. |
Important dates for FebruaryMonthly meeting at 2 P.M. at Hillside on Tuesday, February 21st.
