Harvesting Beans from our Desert Trees

Did you know that we in Arizona have our own delicious "edamame" bean that is not made from soy?  It grows on our state tree, the Palo Verde. This tree blooms bright yellow in March and April.  The beans are ready to pick when they are green in May.  Come learn more!  April 28, 2016

On Tuesday, May 24th, I will be teaching another class in this series on Ironwood Tree Bean Harvesting.  It will be held from 6 - 7 p.m. at the same location, the Ironwood Library--how appropriately named!  I'll have a 155-slide presentation with lots of desert beans and branches there for us to identify and get familiar with--sniff, touch, and taste!
Medicinal, edible, and useful plants natural to the Sonoran Desert.  Hope to see you there~
